My students love uno and have taken to old maid and now go fish, too. So I asked them what card game they'd want to learn next and we decided on blackjack. I created an adapted version for them and I'm gonna teach them tomorrow when they have a break. Should be fun.

A big ol' fox was just prowling around my backyard within a few feet of my house. Got a very clear look at him. I love foxes. Best of both worlds between dogs and cats.

My students recently discovered that they love to play old maid as much as they love to play uno. These kids are habitual smack talkers, too, so breaks from school work just got even more lively.

Made candy cane milkshakes along with more gingerbread today. Both came out excellent, and paired together? Heavenly. Good treat to have on Christmas Eve.

It started snowing this morning! Too bad it already stopped. It was just a light dusting, but this is the closest its ever snowed to christmas time in so many years. I'm happy about it.

My weighted blanket is so snug. Yall haven't lived until you've experienced the comfort of laying flat on your back under a soft 18 lbs of pressure. I almost fell asleep roght away the first time I used it. I could lay here for hours @_@

It rained the entire night, but that didn't stop anyone from trick-or-treating. The kids were out in full force and I had such a blast. Got lots of good spooks, and also got compliments on my costume and decorations.

My class carved pumpkins. Many of my kiddos did so for the first time. They had so much fun, it was heartwarming.

My previous school had a festival tonight so I went to visit and see my old coworkers and kiddos. That was a lot of fun. Some of the kids missed me, and some of them hadnt yet realized I'd been gone the past four weeks :crylaugh: "what do you MEAN you dont work here anymore?!" kids pls.

Finally getting my yard a little more than bare minimum decked out for Halloween. It's so nice to actually have some outside decorations that amount to more than a couple garden skulls.

The store clerk at Spirit Halloween recognizing and complimenting me on my BotW wallet. That hasn't happened in a while. :)

They dropped a lot of the best movies from their running and filled the gaps with three separate days of Family Guy episodes AKA the worst thing you can possibly do.

Got a lot of hugs and happy waves from students visiting for open house this evening. Seeing how tall some of them got over the summer got me like :eek:

Today was the last day of school. I got a couple cards from parents thanking me for making their kids' school year brighter, handwritten notes by the kiddos included. Stuff like that really keeps you going, man. :kawaii:

Something about having handmade cookies in the oven is just so uplifting.

I got to work with my favorite spec ed class today. Love those kiddos. They're so much fun to teach.

Today has been a very wonderful snow day. Got to see snow, made lots of progress grinding in granblue, made a delicious meal, and to top it all off I'm gonna make myself that milkshake I've been craving. Today is a good day.

It was a severe stomach infection. So severe I was ejecting water out both ends for 6 hours straight and got so dehydrated I almost collapsed. :sweating:

After an entire week since leaving the emergency room, I finally feel well enough to eat regular food. This past week all I've eaten was toast, yogurt, gatorade, and pedialyte, but last night's spaghetti and meatballs going down without issue has finally put me in the clear. Time to get myself a...

Dressed up as Santa for the kids at work today. It was so great. They all loved it, and it was a surprise for them, so it was even better. I visited the kindergarten and spec ed classrooms to hand out candy and it was a huge hit. Most of the kids kept trying to tell me I "wasn't really Santa"...

31 Nights of Halloween starting strong this year with the Addams Family double feature and Hocus Pocus. :) I'm in nirvana.

Was with a kindergartener today who struggles a lot in school. His teacher told me he was like a totally different person when I was with him, I heard he was asking for me when I was out of the room, and he asked me if I'd be coming back to work with him next week. Feels good man.

Being a working adult with a car means I can stop at dunkin donuts on the way home from work and buy a breakfast sandwich at 4:30 PM and no one can tell me no.

Had a little vacation day today by going to my aunt's house and having a barbecue and going swimming in her pool. Ate some burgers, king crab legs, and salmon fillets after spending over an hour in the water. Also got to pet a really cuddly cat named Mittens. I'm really happy I got to do that...

It's very good. She can only say a small handful of words and I'm honestly not sure how many names she actually knows. But she really likes me and comes to me for a lot of things over the other teachers in the room, so it's really sweet. She's making progress.

One of my students who has motor disabilities and can barely form words tried to say my name today and I almost cried ;A;

Got to work today for the first time in almost a year. I was with a special ed class I worked with very frequently last year. It was really good to see them again, and they missed me right back. :) Covid compliances weren't too much to work with, and they shortened the school day by two hours...

Just got a lovely email notification about my Monster Hunter Rise preorder. Apparently, the steelbook preorder bonus that was announced recently was added to my order free of charge, since I placed the order before that was a thing. It's $35 on its own, and I'm basically getting it for free. Epic.

After nearly a year, I finally found the last two volumes of Fairy Tail's soundtrack available. Yes..... My collection is now complete, except for the second movie ost which didn't really appeal to me.

Thinking about how tomorrow is the start of the snow season in ACNH is making me happy. We almost never get long-lasting snow where I live anymore, so having it in AC is gonna make me smile every day.
