More than likely I won't be getting a WiiU. Zelda is the only thing that keeps me interested in Nintendo, and I'm not going to buy a console for one game. If it wasn't for the Virtual Console my Wii wouldn't have been getting used for the last 2-3 years, and SS is the first game I bought for it...
Yeah, it only works for the first fight. You don't really need to do it for the last two fights anyway as long of you just keep blasting him with bombs. I'm surprised a lot of people didn't know you could do this.
I didn't read through the thread so I don't know if this girl has been mentioned, but the Items Check girl. She is the first girl that actually admits she wouldn't mind if something would happen with her and Link. Although, after this admission she starts to address Link as a creeper that just...
Getting used to the controls can be somewhat difficult on your first play through. I actually beat the game about 13 hours shorter on my second play through, and did a lot more of the side quests. Once you get used to the timing everything becomes extremely easy.
I liked when the Master Sword was fully forged, but I also enjoyed the cut scenes with Groose. I remember when I was not that far in the game and seeing a thread on here about favorite characters, and I couldn't believe how many people were saying Groose. Definitely a huge turn around and a very...
The 1:1 motion controls made for some very original puzzles. The time shift stones were also something that I really enjoyed, very unique. And the upgrading system is something that I hope they keep in future games. Maybe even make that more essential to the main quest as you really didn't need...
Don't know what I did but for some reason I double posted my last comment so I'm just writing this to get rid of it.
Edit: that comment isn't showing up. I don't know what I did here, lol.
I don't use them a lot, but I like the upgrading system with them. I always find myself upgrading my shield before anything else even though I don't use it often.
Didn't you just say that Hyrule field in OoT was boring and empty and was a chore to traverse? But the sky in skyward sword isn't?
And how can you view flying as a warp system? Do find riding Epona in other games as a warp system? Because they are one in the same.
LOL, did you really just say that you spent hours trudging through Hyrule Field in OoT's main quest? If you actually did then you clearly like to take your time with these games, because I doubt if anyone spent more than 20-30 seconds at a time in Hyrule field while they were playing the game...
SS didn't have unnecessary fetch quests or lack luster segments? The first 4 hours of the game are lack luster and acquiring the Song of the Hero is the epitome of an unnecessary fetch quest.
It shouldn't have. SS was not the best game that come out this year, and the other competitions for GOtY won't have it as the top game. I personally felt that Arkham City was a much better game, but Skyrim is going to win the majority of Best Game honors.
Skyrim and Arkham City were much better...
Incredibly easy. I only died a few times and it was mostly because I wasn't used to the 1:1 motion controls. Hero mode actually seemed easy considering it was my second go around on the game.
Not that it was too long, but it was filled with things that actually felt like filler. The beginning was amazingly slow, and I really didn't start to enjoy the game until after the Skyview Dungeon. Things picked up a lot after that, but slowed back down with the Song of the Hero quest which...
I'm an old head and the first Zelda I played was the original when I was like 4-5 (I'm as old as the series so do the math), and I didn't even know of strategy guides back then (lol, most of you probably don't know of them either). I did have a little help from my big brother and my neighbors...
The Gilded Sword would easily be my number two. Very original and it looked awesome. I'd love to see it make an appearance in a future Zelda game, but I don't really see how they could work that into another game.
Fi by MILES. She was the first "helper" that ever got on my nerves and actually had me yelling at my TV screen to shut up. Nothing about her was appealing.
If you own a Wii you should buy this game. The game isn't very difficult, but there is a bit of a learning curve with the 1:1 motion controls that might take some getting used to.
Why would I assume that a secondary character like Impa is continuously born again?
As mentioned..... should I think that everyone in the Zelda universe is a reincarnation?
I'm sorry, but that comes across as being extremely lazy from a story aspect. It's like they just threw her in there to make a connection to OoT, but didn't care enough to actually explain why she appears hundreds of years later in a more youthful state. Are we to expect that EVERYONE is a...
The controls are very hit or miss (no pun intended). I've found that many times when swinging the sword, you swing from the wrong side regardless of the direction the remote is being used. It gets pretty frustrating when you are swinging the remote accordingly and yet the attack on screen...
