Though, it hasn't age that well either. The gameplay for example, really makes it appearant that it's made in the 80's. The difficulty curve is inconsistent, there's a hefty amount of grinding required and at times the game can be very vague, to the point where it's almost...
I think they could have just replace the Triforce charts with the shards instead. I don't know about you, but I really enjoyed searching for the charts, so I wouldn't abandon it completely.
It's either that or the dungeon idea.
Aside from graphical enchancments, better controls and a controllable camera would be very nice. Also, they could change a bit of the geography of some of the locations.
I think it's best if you form your own opinion of the game by playing it yourself without outside influence. Also, adjust your expectations accordingly, there far, FAR too many people with overly high expectation and are now making all kinds of hate speeches about the game because of it.
1. Release Mother 1/EarthBound Zero.
2. Release Mother 2/EarthBound.
3. Release Mother 3/EarthBound 2.
4. Screw it, release them in a trilogy package with slightly updated graphics and gameplay, plus other extras.
5. Make sure you accoplish step 4.
