Fair point. I guess it should be that I didn't feel I had really played the game until I had the combat challenge of hero mode.
Good luck when you give it a go! One suggestion: try to get yourself up to 5 heart containers as soon as you can. 3 hits until you die is a lot better than 2 hits...
I played it through twice on regular mode first, dying I think two times (carelessly) the first run and never the second run. The puzzles made for some fun challenges, and the combat was fun too but nothing very difficult.
I'm playing through it now on hero mode, and wow I'm enjoying the...
Finished completing my second time through last night, and I was working on a good path for 100%-ish speed run.
When I am in an area already for a dungeon, I try to clear the area out of maiamais, pieces of heart, mini-dungeons, etc, too.

No one else seems to have mentioned this in the forums, so here is what I discovered today...
So you have 30 seconds to collect rupees with no timer (and yes, of course, you could "cheat" and use your own timer, but as you'll see, you do not need to.) If you finish with a second or less...
The first time through, I purposely avoided guides/spoilers. However, I decided that if I had been working on a puzzle (etc) for an hour or so and still no idea, that for the value of my own time, it would be better to look it up. And I was trying to 100% it.

100.51 seconds :D after blowing about 800 rupees trying to get the prize (not exaggerating!). Boy, I was glad to be done with it, and, no, I do not think I will be going for the 999...
Boards over windows (e.g. at the beginning of the Dark Palace) -- everything I have read so far has suggested using bombs to remove them (including the Zelda Dungeon walkthrough). However, what seemed intuitive to me when I first encountered them was to try to burn them away, so I used the Fire...
Sounds like the Pegasus Boots were one of the extra challenging rewards in the game. Some people were able to put clues together to be able to get them. Some people randomly stumbled on them. And others of us were stumped and got help.
I figure that Nintendo knows that some people will...
So I was trying to complete everything I could in Hyrule before moving on to the Lorule dungeons. I also was hoping to beat it on my own without any help (not reading spoilers, etc).
I deduced that something like Pegasus Boots must exist from comments made by the racing game brothers, from...
Yes, it is in a cartoony-style, and maybe some people do not like that, but I think the graphics are beautiful. Moreover, the 3-D is the best I have seen in any 3DS game. With everything else I have played, I have had to turn the 3-D slider down about halfway because it would get too blurry...
