  • Meh. I'd say I started gameplay around four years of age.

I was browsing at your groups...

    You're a socialist?
I used to be quite skilled with Chinese. I took a year of it in high school and a few classes in college. I was never fluent, but I was on my way. But that was several years ago, and I haven't used Chinese is a very long time; so I'm very rusty. I used to know roughly 1,000 characters too, but I've forgotten most of them. I can barely speak and write basic Chinese now :kawaii: I hope to get back into it someday.

Anyways, I've always been fascinated by China and East Asia in general. I love studying the culture and history. In my opinion, China has the most fascinating history in the world; and the culture extends back for thousands of years and is full of interesting traditions. It's just fun to study. I also have many Chinese friends, abroad and domestic.
Lol, I thought so. Actually, Dashan is one of my heroes. I study lingusitics and second language aquisition, and he has always been a role model to me. He's proof that if you work hard enough, you can become natively fluent in a second language and integrate yourself into another culture. Not to mention that his Xiangsheng is frickin' hilarious, lol.

I can imagine you in a taxi:

Taxi driver: Ni shi meiguo ren ma?

You: Bu shi, wo shi jia na da ren.

Taxi driver: Ai ya! Ni renshi Dashan ma?!

I've laid my philosophy out in the Socialist Group, under the "What kind of Socialist are you" thread; if you're interested in what I support.

You're a Canadian, and you're living in Beijing...you MUST know of Dashan, a.k.a. Mark Rowswell :P
I completely agree with you. That's also my opinion on the situation. Mao Zedong was not a Marxist, and the modern PRC does not have a communist or even socialist economy at all. The PRC just uses communism as an excuse to be authoritarian; which is shameful if you ask me. I have many Chinese friends and they tell me the same thing you did. It's a shame that you can't be a true socialist in a country that prides itself on being socialist. Oh well.

Are you a Chinese citizen? Or just living in Beijing as a foreigner?
After seeing your results and comments in the Political Compass thread, I thought you might like to join this: Socialists of Zelda Dungeon - Dungeon Gaming Network
Yeah...it was funny, though. Lots of gags of the kid shocking people when he didn't mean too.
Sorry if I appear rude with the question but under what circumstances are you in Beijing? Are you a natural born Chinese citizen, are you studying on an internship, etc.?
A show where a kid has electric powers that he can use anytime. The only people who know are his best friend, Batman, and Robin.
    That's easy! Like this...

Sorry, but I'm not THAT interested in Batman. In fact, the only time I've seen a video of him is an episode of Static Shock. Sorry...
Probably not the message you were expecting but what timezone are you in?

You exclusively seem to be on during the obscure hours of the night here.
