Welcome to a life-changing experience known as my analysis of the new Zelda Wii U demo shown at Geoff Keightly's Lame Awards (got that one? It was subtle. Might miss it the first time around.) I'll be dissecting every part of this magnificent meaty beast of a demo. You go into this analysis an...
Well, that sucks. I'm honestly surprised that Nintendo would go to VGX for the first time for Donkey Kong. I know, Donkey Kong is releasing soon and they want to build up hype but the fact is that the main audience that actually watches VGX are not really potential customers for that game...
Honestly, I think it's gonna be the most massive Zelda game to date, and will likely have graphics based off the tech demo to some extent. It's the exact game Nintendo needs right now to help prove the Wii U is a system worth getting, and a Skyward Sword or Wind Waker art style will simply not...

"VGX will also feature Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime presenting a new look at an upcoming Wii U game. Additional exclusives to be revealed shortly."
This is also Nintendo's...
The beginning of Majora's Mask will always be the most nostalgic thing for me, as it was my introduction the series. When I was really young, I would watch my brother play Majora's Mask and I was immediately entranced by the surreal and trippy introduction to the game. I would also try to play...
Just completed Stone Tower Temple and good lord is this dungeon confusing. Sadly, Twinmold is such an easy conclusion to an otherwise frustratingly difficult (yet still very rewarding) dungeon. It's a shame the Stone Mask only gets it's one use here, would have been cool to see more done with it.
I agree completely. I'm playing through Majora's Mask right now, and I'm still consistently surprised with how expansive and how much variety there is to the game's world. Imagine that, only done with the Wii U hardware. That would be my ideal Zelda world.
I really hope they go for the Majora's Mask type, only deeper. I mean, with the power of the Wii U and also what is now 13 years since that game, imagine what kind of side stories they could make. The possibilities are endless.
I definitely think Twilight Princess is probably the best amount of realism there should be. It's realistic while also remaining the fantasy-style of the other games.
I think in the end the art style should be based upon whatever the game's feeling is going for. If it's a more serious game, go for a realistic art style and if it is a more light-hearted adventure, go for a cartoonish style. Based on personal preference, however, I would very much like to see a...
I agree with everything pretty much except for a fairy companion.
We really don't need a fairy companion again, we've already had one for a couple of games. Something new would be much preferred.
I seriously fell in love with the Forest Temple theme during my recent playthrough of OoT mainly because it's really the only one that truly stuck with me. I constantly found myself humming the song over and over again, both while playing the game and not playing the game. It's just such a cool...
I'm not sure why people are so upset about this. This kind of thing has been essentially confirmed since it was first announced.
The first ever gameplay we got of the game was of what was pretty much a mixed-up, redone version of a dungeon in ALttP.
