The Fountain is a location in The Minish Cap, found within Hyrule Town.[1]

Overview

The Fountain is located near the center of town, just north of Rem's Shoe Store and northwest of the town central.

After completing the Fortress of Winds, Link will need to find three books and return them to the Royal Hyrule Library. During the quest to find the second book, the Legend of the Picori, Link will need to shrink down to Minish size and enter the Fountain.

To enter the Fountain, Link will need to first enter Dr. Left's House at the west side of Hyrule Town. Inside the house, he can talk to a Minish that is found inside one of the small huts, which will give him passage to the Fountain. In Dr. Left's House, Link will need to pour some Water on the fireplace so that he can climb out of the house through the chimney. From there, he can enter the Stranger's House to the northeast, and then exit through a small hole to the north. From here, he can navigate across a narrow bridge, past a few Cats, down a vine, and into the fountain.

The inside of the Fountain serves as a small Mini-Dungeon. Inside Link will run into some enemy Sluggula and Red Mulldozers. In one room he'll encounter four Blue Mulldozers and once defeated, a large treasure chest will appear, containing the Power Bracelets.

On the west side of the Fountain, Link will find a Piece of Heart, but he's not able to reach this location until after acquiring the Flippers. At the northwest portion of the Fountain, there is a small room with a treasure chest that contains a Big Blue Rupee, worth 100 rupees. This area is also only accessible after acquiring the Flippers.
