But they can't fly... It appeared most commonly in the overworld in the original... and it's not an /animal/ but it was once a living thing~!

Then perhaps it is Hyrule field which is technically the crossroad.

Not quite. There's no need for the "boom" in Hyrule Field. I added an extra little thing in the riddle to give a little hint.

Yes! Lost Woods. "Boom"-Goron City. "Splash"-Zora River. "Fly"-Bean plant to bridge. "Fall"-Forest Stage.
