Zelda: Animated Series (region Free?)

Okay, so here's the thing. I want to watch the animated series of Zelda. I know it sucks, but still, it has a charm to it.

Only problem is that it only exists in region 1 on DVD and I live in Europe.

Has anybody outside of the US tried to play the DVD set?

I assume that you have the DVD set. I live in the US, but I have some family is Australia. I sent them the series, cause one is a huge fan like myself, but they couldn't play it. But what you might do is go to Youtube and download the series to your computer, burn them to a disc, and create a cool DVD cover stamp.
