Twilight Princess What Do You Want?

In TP there is a man in Hyrule Castle that asks for your money as a donation....
after you donate whatever amount you can donate, he tells you the spirit of love (which is highlighted) will come to you.

What really happens? Do I have to donate X amount of money? What do I get? Or is it just away to get rid of your money?
If it is cause I have donated a LOT:cry:

Like Pocket Asian said, donate rupees and you get a Heart Piece. If you don't have enough collect golden bugs, or go back to a single dungeon and gain another overabundance of rupees.

No idea. Only a couple of games in the series have had you really use the rupees that get thrown at you. TP did okay with it with donating to this guy and the Malo Mart, but eh. Still not enough with the Golden Bugs and all. Anyway, question answered so...
