Breath of the Wild The Six Sages

We saw in this most recent trailer that Link seems to be collecting allies of multiple ethnicities in his quest, and even adventuring with them. This isn't anything new necessarily-- one of the major themes of the series is bringing various races and nations together through selflesness and dedication to their welfare-- and you do this is nearly every game.

But these characters are oddly reminiscent of those from OoT. Gerudo, goron, zora, etc. So, a couple questions:

1. Are we gathering sages again?

2. Will they be accompanying us, and will they be involved in gameplay?

3. Who are the rest of the sages? Will we see Kokiri and Sheikah again? Is the bird-man a sage, and if so, the sage of what?

There seem to be 4 of them. The Goron, the Fish well, thing, the gerudo girl and the falco bird dude. They all have a blue sheikah scarf and seem to be story related.

What if they're shiekah agents and not sages?

The "temple of time" has the original Seven Sages from the pre SS era (six hylian saves and Hylia, the seventh, herself, complete with their symbols) so the sages might be just a faded memory in this game while the shiekah take center stage

But maybe not

Ah, damn, you beat me to it! I too believe that we will need to recruit the sages to seal Calamity Ganon. I wouldn't be surprised to see Impa returning as a sage given the old woman's voice in the latest trailer supposedly being hers.

Don't also forget the Koroks, who stand for the sages of the Kokiri.

And Lizard Looking guy.
