That "Multi-Quote This Message" Button...

How does it work? I've been on the forums for a little over a year now and I still have not been able to figure it out which makes me feel like a bit of an idiot and I can't find anything in the faq about it either. Whenever I click it, all it does it change the icon to a similar one, but with a tick through it. What do I do after that to actually multi-quote so I'm not constantly wrapping things in spoiler tags?

EDIT:...and by spoiler tags I meant quote tags :facepalm:

If you want to quote more than one post then you click that button on each post excluding the last post. On the last post you want to quote click the usual "reply with quote" button and all the posts that you selected should come up in the reply box.
