Wait, so you think it's weird that Thar removed a vote he said had been a joke during the RVS and are voting him for it, but you also think that it's weird that people are going to lynch DekuNut off of joke votes? That seems very contradictory to me.

And on Thar's vote removal I don't think that was suspicious. I'm not saying I don't see any possibility that he might be doing it to cover himself if Deku were lynched and turned up town, but I didn't get that feeling from him removing his vote. Like he said, seems like a very amateurish thing to do.
That said, my vote was definitely also a joke and I was going to remove it as well (though I don't think Pendio counted it in his latest vote count anyway ) but I'm not going to yet because of Deku's vote on Linkdude which I feel was very suspicious and trying to desperately draw attention away from himself. Him admitting he didn't know Varrick was an inventor in the show has somewhat cleared him slightly in my eyes, but at the moment he's the only suspicion I have so my vote is staying unless someone more suspicious comes up.

I'll gladly give up that vote. I'll admit, explaining the joke helped him out some, and the only reason I haven't removed it yet is because, day one, when I don't have any strong suspicions, I tend to keep my votes.

I'm with Jonny on this, the leaping was really weird and it seems like a desperate attempt to not look scummy if/when Deku turns up town. I'm going to keep my vote on Deku, because I'd like to see @Crus@der77x's response.

Of course Deku is possibly town. Town is almost ALWAYS lynched on day 1 but the rvs is still necessary to get the game moving along and there is a chance you will hit scum. Let's just not vote for anyone on day 1 because they could possibly be town. Heck, let's not vote for anyone unless the cop confirms they are scum.

Yes, but I did not vote for him and only FoS'd him and I think he sufficiently responded to the pressure myself and jon boy put on him. I may look into it again tomorrow if Deku is town, but my suspicion was not enough for a vote.

That's a bit harsh. Today we have nothing to go on. And, as you said, town is usually lynched. Tomorrow well have at least one flip due to nightkills. Judging by them and their interactions, we have somewhere concrete to go. Until then, we have nothing. A no-lunch (yes, it says lunch. I hate spell check) today would give us that, but also leaves the probability for dead townies higher. At least tonight we (hopefully) have a vig and (probably) have less townie deaths.
And no, I'm not just saying this because I'm the one on death row. It is very true. If someone else was up and I didn't have anything on them I'd say the same thing.

We've had this discussion on these forums a million times. No lynch not only slows the game down, especially on day 1, but it also looks scummy as hell to even propose it. I'd say not for you considering you are a lynch candidate but man, never suggest a day 1 no lynch. How can we judge anyone tomorrow based on just the night scene? If ultimately there is no lynch it's extremely difficult to tell what people were thinking or what they wanted to do, aside from myself I suppose. Most people are just spamming. Lynches are really important on day 1 otherwise day 2 only has the night scene to go off of which isn't very useful when we know literally nothing about anybody.

I'm with Rep on this too. There is a time for no lynching, but day 1 is not that time. A no lynch can be helpful later on in the game when there is more information and a mislynch is more costly, but in early stages it's town's only information source. Idk about other people but I'd rather go into the night with a little information rather than go into day with just a night scene to try and figure out. And keep in mind some night scenes give practically no information.

I'm in agreement with there needing to be a lynch on day 1. And if I know anything about mafia, it's that there's a mafioso somewhere on the Dekunut vote count, and that vote is probably somewhere in the middle.

UPDATE 2: Since this is day 1 and it is usually played differently than the rest of the days, I will not be looking at the 3 posts a day requirement on this first day. However, on every upcoming game day I will not hesitate to replace/mod kill any player who makes less than three posts on one day.

I'm kind of tempted to lynch Deku to have the small small chance of having a lead the following day what with two people coming to his aid now. And if he's Town, then, hey, Thar and Heroine get town points.

Also I'm not even going to look at Thar's vote removal. It's day one, Deku is on, what, 4 maybe 5 votes? It's not as if he's hopping off at the end. In fact, if he was scum trying to help a mislynch, his vote would lie right in be middle which is the perfect spot on a day one lynch to avoid suspicion.
