Research Symposia/Conferences

A Link In Time

To Overcome Harder Challenges
ZD Legend
Have you ever presented your own work at a research symposium or perhaps judged that of others?

Being in the field of chemistry, presenting your work to others is a big part of doing science. It's a way to get feedback on preliminary work before you actually write an article on it to be published in a scientific journal.

I first presented my research at an undergraduate symposium in 2017. In more recent years, I've been to various American Chemical Society meetings as well as online conferences during the course of my PhD, particularly from 2022-2024. Recently things came full circle for me by being a judge at the undergraduate symposium that started it all for me.

What about you? What's your experience in attending or presenting at research symposia or conferences?
