Devil's advocate, but when has Kit posted porn?
This pancake samurai thing

kit is probably the least sexual user on the site.

I don't think his goal was to specifically be sexual, but rather joke about Pancake in a sexual manner like myself. Except I never posted explicit material; not even close. This situation also made Pancake very uncomfortable.

ago so stop bringing it up.
Unfortunately this took place during his tenure.

I can see some arguments about the discouraging and such
I'm happy you can understand my viewpoint because during that incident I saw no tangible consequences. I know it can be difficult banning friends from experience.

If something happens which you don't like but you don't notify anybody then there's not much that can be done.
I just believe my issues are whenever I do notify somebody nothing ever gets done; hence the entire existence of this thread. This thread is not something a normal forum has to have.

I just want the same standard. On most other forums I've been a part of this isn't even an issue. Thanks for reading.

Ok first off you're referring to Seth. Secondly, that happened about two and a half years ago. Seth hasn't been a mod that long. Thirdly, that issue is well and truly over with.

Almost every normal forum has some type of medium in which people can contest their infractions or such. Some do it by havign a single staff member who deals with it, or through individual threads, or a thread like this. It's not because of the corrupt staff or something. It's literally normal and actually a better thing to have than offering people no medium to defend themselves or get their questions answered. Under the previous team there weren't many people you could approach if this happened because if they didn't like you then **** you. You cannot say that happens with a thread like this. Maybe it's not the best way to do it but at least they've made an effort to try something.

EDIT: Also, when you say 'nothing gets done', is it because somebody has actually done something to attack you or make you feel uncomfortable or just because somebody has said something you don't like? Because those are two different things. If the latter was a bannable or infractable offense then I would personally have made a complaint about everyone by now.

Whether you think Kitsu is horribly corrupt, or treated unfairly in comparison to others, or whether you're upset that some people aren't being punished for certain offenses, or that some offenses should be given more attention, all are entirely and completely irrelevant to this particular issue. I don't understand why all of these are being conflated with this incredibly minor punishment for seemingly no other reason than because Kitsu happened to be the one to administer it, despite the fact that it was based on a staff consensus. It's literally a non-issue.

What are you even talking about? Stop assuming my intentions I clearly think it was Kitsu. I wasn't even active when you accused Seth of posting whatever.

Exactly. This is a contest unfair infractions thread, not a place for disputation against shoutbox bans.
I'm not aware of a better place to post it.

At this point if should be safe to say that you've regained access anyway; no need to beat the horse ragged.
Not since I've last checked a minute ago.

I agree most forums I've been a part of have some medium through which you can discuss problems, but normally it is done privately so it wouldn't harm the community's reputation.

In summary, it seems Kitsu can break whatever rules in the most extreme ways and face no tangible consequences other members would for much less.

What rules has Kitsu broken in this????????????????????????????????????

You seem to be the only two people on earth who know the answer to this pressing question. IT WAS A STAFF. CONSENSUS. That means that at least several staff members made the decision, not just Kitsu.

The only thing harming this community's reputation is the raer selda vendetta against Kitsu and the utter ebola of this entire debate.

I think a lot of people are missing the point. The argument here is that everyone should be held accountable for their actions regardless of their rank on the forums. Being an administrator does not make Kitsu above the rules of the forums.

Kitsu has broken the rules before. A few of the examples provided in this thread alone are his Shoutbox conversation about wanting to kill himself after Fig posted the code for a Twitch emote, changing his status to show a picture of Terminus with the caption "emotional hell," and discouraging DM, a feature he used at the time knowing that no one else on the staff was aware of it at the time, and something that was prohibited from being used.

It's possible that this specific event has been blown out of proportion, but the criticisms about Kitsu are not unwarranted. If this discussion is inappropriate for the current thread, then I suggest making a new one dedicated to the topic.

Also, I have to ask several members in this thread: How do you know the inner workings of the staff if you've never been in the staff chat before? Do you know how a consensus is reached in the chat? I'm aware of how long it takes to come to decisions with every member of the staff, because I've been there before. In fact, when it was two staff members agreeing with something I did before everyone had chimed in, I was flamed extensively for it by several staff members. Not everything you see on the exterior is what truly occurs on the inside.

Is this the contest unfair infraction thread or the complain about kitsu thread? I believe it's the former. So please use this thread for its proper purpose, thanks. And getting on Kitsu for something he did like 8 months ago is rather silly, can we keep things at least remotely recent please?

I have missed a lot. I do read there is a lot of tensions going on between people who seem to have issues with other members basically formed on skype. I really wish we would leave skype out of this and stop judging others because of their past. It's not going to do any of us any good if we keep on holding grudges based on what happened on skype. I also like to ask people to stop discussing things that have nothing to do with the unfair content. This is the Unfair Content thread and NOT the Corrupt Staff thread. This doesn't mean you don't have the right to complain about the staff but please don't use this Thread for it. Also; things done by members in the past should stay in the past. There is no need to dig it up now. This counts for anybody. Suppose I ruined a topic back in 2010. What use does it have to dig that up now? There is absolutely no need to attack Kitsu in this thread if the complain is about the warning Dark Master received. Like I said before, if you got issues with the staff don't use it in this topic.

So my I'm scared of the GKA's thread got deleted without even a mention as to why. It took me a long while to finally post that thread and a lot of official emotional strength. When I asked why it was removed JC and Rep ignored me. I'm sick of this sort of general laziness and general hair dresser attitude. If I wanted to deal with this sort of bull**** I would go and get my hair cut. This is ZD not a hairdressing salon.

That thread was a very delicate subject matter for me and I'm feeling pretty down right now after finding out it was deleted. It angers me because this further proves the life advice section is only for those deemed popular by the ZD state.

Your overuse of the word "officially" and your previous joking in the Life Advice section showed us that it was a troll thread, and so we treated it as such.

I'm sorry Rep. Did you ever THINK to get off your grand mod throne and come down from the heavens to our lowly normies world and actually have a discussion with the very person that would know whether or not it was a troll thread? You of all people know how difficult I find the GKA's, so I'm quite surprised you didn't say "hey mod team instead of just executing a disscion based on poor assumption, why don't we actually ask Dan first rather than risking some of his happiness".

Oh I'm so sorry I overused a word, do you know where I can find an addon that keeps tracks of how many words I've used in a post? Maybe we can implement such a feature to the board, I think it would reduce trolling by mammoth lengths if word overuse is such a problem. Just checking this post for words overused as well, as I've noticed the word of is used quite a bit and I'm a little scared that may be seen as trolling.

So to conclude NO that thread was not a troll thread, and I've rarely if not at all "trolled" in the life advice section.

The fact that you even said it took a lot of "official" emotional strength shows that you clearly are making a joke of how the GKAs try to be super "official". On that front, I agree, people take the GKAs way too seriously and people (including the event staff) try to make it all way too "official". You definitely can't sit there and act like you've never made a joke of the GKAs though, as you've regularly said "oh, no one ever votes for me for the GKAs" when you drop out of them every year. You only do this as a joke, because you know you do get votes, and in fact you've gotten quite a few and before dropping out, were likely to win best signature, and you've been up there for a lot of awards in the past. You were certainly trying to bring home a point about how "official" the GKAs are by using the word "official" as an enhancer for practically every noun in your Life Advice post.

Why did you, this time, wait until the voting was almost over, before dropping out, when in previous years you dropped out immediately? Seems incredibly silly and you wasted a lot of people's time as well as their votes in the initial round which could have gone to someone else. Then you made a big thread about it in Life Advice? I don't want to hear it. Even if it wasn't a troll thread, the fact that you are trying to argue that you weren't using the word official on purpose is ridiculous; you obviously were. And to imply we can actually come to you and expect an honest answer when you know you have dragged out jokes before in the past, even to staff members, is laughable at best.

If you want us to take you seriously, why not try being serious every once in a while?
