Zeltik: Link’s Hometown in Zelda Wii U
Posted on December 13 2015 by Jon Lett
The Zelda fandom never fails to impress, finding things to analyze and talk about in even the smallest little corners of footage and images. YouTuber Zeltik has taken a look at the few bits of Zelda Wii U footage we have been given, and theorized about Link’s potential new home in the upcoming game. There are some details he goes over in the video you may not have noticed before, so it may be worth checking out.

That is something I never really thought about in the new game’s map: icons. In older games, there have been small icons on the in-menu and HUD maps, representing warp points, entrances and exits, dungeons, and more, so who is to say that this game will not have new ones representing towns and such? I was certainly too focused on the grand scale of the overall world to have noticed something this small, so I am glad Zeltik caught it. It also makes me wonder what this massive world contains, and whether the giant map actually covers every last thing the world has to offer. I would love to sere more details of the current map examined in the coming days.
Do you agree with Zeltik’s theory? What other elements of the map (as we have seen it so far) stuck out for you, and what significance do you think they have? Drop a comment!
