Zelda Wins G4 Videogame Deathmatch

Zelda Dungeon has been reporting on the online competition hosted by G4 to determine the greatest video game franchise over the last few weeks. Voting concluded on Monday April 25, Morgan Webb announced the victor on X-Play to be Legend of Zelda over top contender Starcraft.
As two franchise giants each commanding legions of loyal fans facing off in the final round, Starcraft was definitely tough competition but Zelda eventually won out in the end. After four rounds with thirty two competitors Zelda finally won the title King of all Franchises over all the other great names in video gaming. With such high regarded franchises as Grand Theft Auto, Assassin’s Creed, Halo, and even Mario, fans showed their love for everyone’s favorite adventures in Hyrule.
I think this shows that after a twenty five year history over multiple consoles, Zelda still proves to be a fan favorite over all the other big names in gaming that have come and gone over the years. With Skyward Sword and Ocarina of Time due to be released later this year, Zelda is clearly not about to slow down anytime soon.
So what did you think? Do you agree with the results of the competition? Lets us know in the comments below.
