The manga artist duo known as Akira Himekawa (A. Honda and S. Nagano) who worked on The Legend of Zelda manga series have recently released several unused images of art. The images include Link from Ocarina of Time as well as Oracle of Seasons and were posted on their official Facebook page. They were not used at the time of production for an unknown reason, however Akira Himekawa felt that they were “very special and hope that fans enjoy it”.
To check out a few more of these rare and unused images, head past the jump.
Although it is unknown why these were never used, I am glad they felt it was important to release these to the public. It just goes to show you that the artists themselves can become quite attached to their work and that the fans are not the only ones that enjoy their creations.
What do you think of the images? Why do you think they might have never been used, yet the artists felt they were very special? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
