Update: Tabletop RPG-drinking game hybrid Drinking Quest: Belch of the Wild  has re-launched on Kickstarter! You can check it out for yourself here.

As of the time of writing, the project has raised over 200% of its goal and has a variety of stretch goals already unlocked. Some of the stretch goals include stickers of characters from previous Drinking Quest games, extra heroes and sidekicks added to the game, and upgrades to the quality of the cards themselves. To get a copy of the game itself, it is $25 USD and includes printable PDFs of all the previous Drinking Quest games.

Now that this project is for-sure funded, this is a good deal on what promises to be a fun night with a good group of friends. The Drinking Quest: Belch of the Wild Kickstarter campaign ends on August 10th. You can check it out right here.

Original: Earlier this year, Jason Anarchy Games announced Drinking Quest: Belch of the Wild. It’s a combination tabletop RPG and drinking game that promises a lot of laughs.

Jason Anarchy Games recently launched their crowdfunding campaign for Belch of the Wild and had this to say:

Belch of the Wild is perfect for brand new players and existing fans alike!

Fight monsters, find treasure, but when your hero dies you must chug the remainder of your drink in real life. The stakes are real!

This game features four main quests and all kinds of bonus content. New quests include:

  1. Dryrule: Be the life of the party in the scenic land of Dryrule
    2. Weiner Factory: Chuglox & Friend are running a weiner factory and doing a terrible job
    3. Bait & Swish: Drinking and Fishing go together really well. Our heroes will find a way to ruin it.
    4. Malted Murder Mystery: One of the heroes IS THE MURDERER! But which one???

Belch of the wild introduces the new “Annoying Sidekick” system which adds custom character creation by picking a hero and matching them with an Annoying Sidekick.

This will easily be the best game in the Drinking Quest series and is a fresh jumping on point for new players!

You can help bring this game to life by crowdfunding it on BackerKit here. It has already raised one-third of its goal and will be taking pledges through July 13th.

The Drinking Quest games are meant to be enjoyed with an alcoholic beverage, but they can be played with a delicious soda or water.  Remember to be responsible and obey local laws.

I have one of the first Drinking Quest games and it makes for a really fun time. This set looks like it will have a plethora of jokes parodying both The Legend of Zelda and tabletop role-playing games in general. I have thrown in my pledge and it’ll be a fine way to keep warm when it is shipped out in February.

Will you back this card game? Have you played any of the Drinking Quest games? Let us know in the comments!
