Over on our general gaming sister site, GenGAME, a story was published about Nintendo Press releasing a list of release dates (and less specific release quarters) for many, many games on the 3DS. One such game was the classic Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, finally receiving its Virtual Console release.

Make the jump for more information!

Known as being the most difficult Zelda game ever created, this classic features more involved combat, (at times) tricky platforming, and a strict save/continue system wherein if you get a “game over” you must return all the way back at the start point. This infamous game can actually benefit from a Virtual Console release in several key ways. Namely: with the added save states feature, getting past some of the tricky platforming and bypassing the return-to-the-start continue system.

The game does not yet have a specific date attached to it, but the news release states that it will be made available in Q4, so we can expect it at any time from November to the end of the year.

Will you be “picking it up” in the Virtual Console? Have you played the game before? Let us know what you think about it in the comments!
