Zelda Dungeon Weekly Featured Music #1

Hey guys! Any of you who have been following the site for a while now might remember our old weekly Fan Music segment. Well, we know a lot of you liked that, so we’re bringing it back! Every Monday, I’ll be bringing you an awesome Zelda related tune right here. Now, before we get into the first featured song, I need your guys’ help – we need a cool title for this segment! I know a lot of you are really creative people, so if you have a radical Zelda themed title for this segment, let me know in the comments!

The song this week is simply called “ZELDA,” and it’s by a rap duo called The Adventures of Duane and BrandO. Unfortunately these guys have disbanded, but last year they released this great Zelda track. I’ve got to warn you guys, although this song is awesome, it does have some harsh language and swearing, so if you’re offended by that kind of thing you might want to skip out on this one!

I love everything about this tune. The backing music is based off Zelda, the lyrics are all from Link or Ganon, and it has some HILARIOUS references – I missed a lot of them the first time around. It even goes so far as to diss Mega Man, something only Link could get away with. My favorite bit is the last segment, with the Game Over theme from the original game. I think the beats they made out of the songs are all really well done, and the rapping is really well done with good flow and hilarious lyrics.
