Zant Cosplay Sighted

[news post contributed by Michael P.]

Zant, the main protagonist for most of Twilight Princess, has found his way into the real world. Knives and all, Julianna Martinez dressed up in a remarkably good cosplay of the villainous Zant–a costume which she made entirely on her own–the most remarkable features being the accuracy of the cosplay and the she portrays his calmness in the photo. Coloring her face a pale shade of white and using dark lipstick to match Zant’s facial features.

Jump in for an unveiling of Julianna’s hard work.

“My first handmade cosplay, debuted in Puerto Rico Comic Con 2011, with the added bonus of his Boss Battle dual blades for PRCC 2012! Poster board, cardboard, clay, resin, fiberglass, bondo and sanding went into the armor/helmet, and lots of intricate paintbrush detailing for his clothing. It was all worth it for my love of Zelda!”

I believe she captures Twilight Princess‘ Zant perfectly well. Even the shoes appear to be spot on from what I have seen in the pictures. All the work she poured into the helmet really paid off. The swords from the boss fight are really a great touch and just add to how artistic this is. What do you think of Julianna’s cosplay? Have you ever made a cosplay by hand like this. Please leave your answers in the comments.
