MCThere was only one Legend of Zelda game developed specifically for the Game Boy Advance: The Minish Cap. Unfortunately, due to A Link to the Past being ported to the GBA from the SNES, it seems as though The Minish Cap went mostly under the radar which is a huge shame as it’s a great game. YouTuber YuriofWind’s Obscure Gaming series has recently looked into a Chinese bootleg Zelda game that was released for the NES which seems to be a very simplified version of The Minish Cap.

See the video after the jump.

The Minish Cap is one of my favorite Zelda games, and this game looks like someone thought the GBA version was too complicated and simplified it by taking out all the aspects that I believe make the game fun and interesting. Granted, having turn based combat in a Zelda game could be interesting, especially if you can learn spells as you level up, but having the enemies get stronger as you do will always be annoying. Plus it would need a lot more than three tracks!

All in all, if you haven’t played The Minish Cap, you’re much better off playing that. This bootleg really won’t do it justice. What do you think? Have you ever played The Minish Cap?
