'''Spears''' are a category of weapons in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild|Breath of the Wild]]''. These weapons have longer reach than other weapons and their stabs are quick, but they deal little damage per hit. The basic attack sequence consists of five stabs, with the fifth being more powerful, breaking through an enemy's defenses or knocking it back. If [[Link (Breath of the Wild)|Link]] performs a [[Perfect Dodge]] and enters [[Flurry Rush]], he will execute six hits. If the attack button is held, stamina is drained until the button is released and Link performs a number of quick stabs based on the duration of the hold. Since Link requires both hands to hold the weapon, he cannot use a [[Shield]] at the same time. Some spears are specifically designed to be throwable. These weapons are the most ineffective hand weapons for opening wooden and metal crates.

 

 

Fishing Harpoons have a base power of 8 and base durability of 12. Residents of [[Lurelin Village]] also favor these spear for their fishing capabilities, and as a result many can be found lying around there. They can occasionally be found in other locations in the [[Faron (Breath of the Wild)|Faron]] province, for example on the [[Bridge of Hylia]].  

Soldier's Spears have a base power of 7 and base durability of 35. They are occasionally used by [[Bokoblin]]s and [[Moblin]]s in and around the [[Necluda]] area. Representing a slight upgrade from the [[Traveler's Spear]], dealing more damage overall, their designs are also relatively similar. Both have wooden shafts, but Soldier's Spears have a larger spearhead with an additional gut tool attached to the tip.

Knight's Halberds have a base power of 13 and base durability of 40. They can typically be found in the possession of [[Moblin]]s in the [[Hebra]] region of the map. As halberds, they have axe-like heads. While their fully metal handles ensure they will not catch fire, during a thunderstorm they will act as lightning rods.  

Zora Spears have a base power of 9 and base durability of 40. They can be found in various locations in [[Hyrule]], but are most common in and around [[Zora's Domain (Breath of the Wild)|Zora's Domain]]. Wrought entirely from metal, they sport the classic [[Zora]] colors of blue and silver.

Silverscale Spears have a base power of 12 and base durability of 40. They can be found in various locations in [[Hyrule]], but are most common in and around [[Zora's Domain (Breath of the Wild)|Zora's Domain]]. Made entirely from metal, their aesthetic is rather similar to that of the [[Zora Spear]], however the spearhead is radically different; hosting a crescent shaped tip for additional damage.

The Ceremonial Trident is very quick to use, has a power of 14 and base durability of 40. It can be found submerged under the west bridge inside [[Zora's Domain (Breath of the Wild)|Zora's Domain]], where it is obtained by using [[Magnesis]] on the trident. It is used in the Shrine Quest ''[[The Ceremonial Song]]'', where it is referenced by the Zora child Laruta.

The Lightscale Trident is very quick to use, has a power of 22 and base durability of 70. [[Link (Breath of the Wild)|Link]] obtains this weapon after saving [[Zora's Domain (Breath of the Wild)|Zora's Domain]] from the trouble caused by the [[Divine Beast]] [[Vah Ruta]]. It once belonged to the [[Mipha|Zora Champion Mipha]], but is gifted to Link by [[King Dorephan]] for his efforts.  

Feathered Spears have a base power of 10 and base durability of 35. They are typically used by members of the [[Rito]] tribe in and around the [[Tabantha Frontier|Tabantha]] Region. It utilizes wood and metal, with a variety of feathers attached by the spearhead for additional visual flair.  

Gerudo Spears have a base power of 16 and base durability of 35. They can be found in various locations in and around the [[Gerudo (Breath of the Wild)|Gerudo Province]]. In appearance, they have more of a trident-like design than other spears. The aesthetic fits the overall [[Gerudo]] theme, with curved features and a gold & silver color scheme.

Ancient Spears have a base power of 30 and base durability of 50. They can be obtained from "[[Cherry]]" in the [[Akkala Ancient Tech Lab]] for 1,000 [[Rupee]]s, 15 [[Ancient Gear]]s, 5 [[Ancient Shaft]]s, and 2 [[Ancient Core]]s after lighting the Ancient Furnace. When [[Link (Breath of the Wild)|Link]] is carrying them, only the handles show; the blue parts only show up once held in the hand.

Royal Guard's Spears have a base power of 32, durability of 15, and can be found inside of [[Hyrule Castle (Breath of the Wild)|Hyrule Castle]]. They have a massive base damage for a spear, the highest of any polearm - however, their durability leave a lot to be desired. In appearance, they look like darker [[Royal Halberd]]s.

Flamespears have a base power of 24 and base durability of 50. These fast, elemental weapons can often be found in various [[Shrine of Trials]] scattered across [[Hyrule]], and very rarely can be seen wielded by [[Bokoblin]]s in the [[Eldin (Breath of the Wild)|Eldin]] province. The spear have the ability to set enemies alight, but require a short period of time to recharge before unleashing the flames once more.  

There are four respawnable sources of frostspear; an [[Ice-Breath Lizalfos]] in [[Biron Snowshelf]], embedded in the [[Stalnox]] in [[Harfin Valley]], a [[Black Bokoblin]] in a skull camp due north of [[Warbler's Nest]] and a [[Black Lizalfos]] in the [[Coliseum Ruins]] if all four [[Divine Beast]]s have been freed. There are also non-respawning frostspears in [[Namika Ozz Shrine]] and [[Jitan Sa'mi Shrine]]; plus a chest on a floating platform by [[Luto's Crossing]] in [[Master Mode]].  

Dragonbone Boko Spear have a base power of 12 and base durability of 20. Despite a low base damage, due to the nature of spears, they have a relatively high damage-per-second, which can take out enemies swiftly. The design, however, is simply a stick with some bones affixed to the tip. They can often be seen in the hands of [[Black Bokoblin]]s all over [[Hyrule]], most prominently in the [[Akkala]] province; and also occasionally found being used by [[Black Moblin]]s & [[Blue Lizalfos]].

Spiked Moblin Spears have a base power of 9 and base durability of 20. They are a typical weapon used by [[Moblin]]s all over [[Hyrule]], but more commonly in provinces such as [[Akkala]]. Its design is similar to that of the basic [[Moblin Spear]], however resistant bones have been affixed in order to increase the mean damage for this weapon.

Dragonbone Moblin Spears have a base power of 15 and base durability of 25. They are often used by Black [[Moblin]]s in the [[Eldin (Breath of the Wild)|Eldin]] and [[Hebra]] provinces of the game. Its appearance is identical to that of a traditional [[Moblin Spear]], bar multiple fossil bones affixed to the tip of the stick.  

Lizal Spears have a base power of 7 and base durability of 18, They are often used by Green [[Lizalfos]] all over [[Hyrule]], but more prominently in the south of the map, in provinces including [[Faron (Breath of the Wild)|Faron]]. In design, they are simply wooden poles with a roughly-fashioned piece of metal affixed with some rope as the spearhead.

Enhanced Lizal Spears have a base power of 12 and base durability of 22. They are often used by [[Lizalfos]] all over [[Hyrule]], but more prominently in the south of the map in provinces including [[Faron (Breath of the Wild)|Faron]]. They are an upgraded version of the basic [[Lizal Spear]], but with a sharper spearhead to increase damage.

Forked Lizal Spears have a base power of 18 and base durability of 28. They are often used by [[Black Lizalfos]] on the outskirts of the map, in provinces such as [[Akkala]] or [[Hebra]]. They use the same wooden pole as other iterations of the [[Lizal Spear]], but with a two-pronged metal fork rather than a traditional spearhead for a tip.

Guardian Spears have a base power of 10 and base durability of 20. They are primarily found inside of [[Shrine of Trials]], wielded by [[Guardian Scout II]]s in [[Test of Strength#A Minor Test of Strength|A Minor Test of Strength]] Shrines. When [[Link (Breath of the Wild)|Link]] is carrying this weapon, only the handle shows; the blue parts only show up once it is held in the hand.

Guardian Spear++s have a base power of 20 and base durability of 35.  They are primarily found inside of [[Shrine of Trials]], wielded by [[Guardian Scout IV]]s in [[Test of Strength#A Major Test of Strength|A Major Test of Strength]] Shrines. It is similar to weaker [[Guardian Spear]]s, but the spearhead appears to be more akin to a trident than previous models. When [[Link (Breath of the Wild)|Link]] is carrying this weapon, only the handle shows; the blue parts only show up once it is held in the hand.

Savage Lynel Spears have a base power of 30 and base durability of 45. They can be obtained by defeating [[White-Maned Lynel]]s or [[Silver Lynel]]s scattered in the overworld, for example in the [[North Tabantha Snowfield]]. Despite having a low base damage in comparison to other weapon types, this [[Lynel]] property is still rather effective, since spears have a high attack rate, the overall damage-per-second is sky-high with this spear.
