+Shadow Link Effect is one of the +Effect Panels found in the remake of Link's Awakening.
Overview
Link is able to acquire the +Shadow Link Effect by speaking to Dampé and scanning in the Link amiibo from Link's Awakening.[1]
When applied to a Chamber, the +Shadow Link Effect will cause Shadow Link to appear.[2] Upon entering the room that the effect is in, Link's shadow will soon separate from him and then morph into Shadow Link. He will then attack Link, occasionally disappearing back into the shadows. Shadow Link will continue to follow Link throughout rooms in the dungeon until defeated. Link is able to battle and defeat Shadow Link, who can leave behind Rupees, Recovery Hearts, and Fairies. Only one +Shadow Link Effect panel can be placed in a single Chamber Dungeon, although it can be placed in any room that is not an entrance or contains a Nightmare.
