The Lightning Rod is an elemental rod found in Breath of the Wild. It has an unusual appearance, with two metal ribbons connecting at the top to form the generator for the electricity.

A Lightning Rod has a base melee power of 5, but its main purpose is to cast powerful balls of electricity which have the ability to electrocute enemies. It can be obtained by defeating Electric Wizzrobes in battle; it is a guaranteed drop.If you try to throw it,it will shoot the electricity in that particular direction. It is not an effective weapon in hand to hand combat.
These rods, like all rods dropped by Wizzrobes, are non-metallic and cannot attract lightning.
