Echoes are items from Echoes of Wisdom.

Echoes of Wisdom

They are created by scanning an object with the Tri Rod, which can then be used to recreate that object. Echoes can be used to traverse obstacles and to fight enemies. When Tri first lends Zelda the Tri Rod, the first echo she learns is the Table Echo, found within her jail cell in the Hyrule Castle underground.

The number of echoes which can be created depends both on the cost of the echo type, and Tri's current power level. Levelling Tri up by mending rifts and gaining more power from Tri's Friends gives Tri more ▼ to create echoes; reduces the cost of certain echoes per level and, from level 3, allows the creation of echoes from a distance within line-of-sight.

At any time she can despawn these echoes and create more, but even with the cheapest (1▼) echoes, there cannot be more at once than Tri has ▼. If an echo is placed which is more than Tri's free ▼, existing echoes will despawn on a "first in, first out" basis. If an echo requires more ▼ than Tri currently has even with no echoes summoned, it cannot be made.
