Spectacle Rock

Spectacle Rock is a location found in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Spectacle Rock is one of the higher elevations of the southern portion of the Gerudo Highlands and also the location of the Wasteland Tower. The tower is found on the northwest of the two rocks, where as the southeastern rock is a flat plateau. Later in Link's journey after he has completed the Divine Beast Vah Naboris, the divine beast will take its spots atop of Spectacle Rock.

Tears of the Kingdom

In Tears of the Kingdom, the Spectacle Rock is a bit more dangerous, the area to the northwest with muddy waste, has a Rare Stone Talus in the middle. The other rock to the southeast has a small rock column with a Flame Gleeok on it.

Gleeok Guts

Main article: Gleeok Guts (Side Quest)

As part of the Gleeok Guts quest, Malena will need to collect some Gleeok Guts to create a medicine to save her husband, Platt. She guides Link to the Flame Gleeok that can be found on top of Spectacle Rock. Even defeating this particular Gleeok doesn't guarantee a drop of some Gleeok Guts. Defeating a King Gleeok will guarantee a drop of Gleeok Guts.

Spectacle Rock Cave

At the northeast side rock facing the Great Plateau, the Spectacle Rock Cave can be found. Inside, Link will discover side quest, The Yiga Clan Exam.

Korok Seeds

  • Northeast of the northern of the two rock plateaus, down the cliffside, there is a small stump. Step on it and climb up to the yellow circle to get the Korok Seed.
  • Northeast of where the Flame Gleeok is, on the lower elevation there are some large rocks. Link can walk underneath to find a bottle hanging down. Break it to get the Korok Seed.

Nomenclature

Spectacle Rock is a reoccurring location in The Legend of Zelda series and its name as from an aerial view, the two rocks along with the bridge in between them, give the appearance as if they were a pair of glasses.
