Biron Snowshelf is an area in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

The Biron Snowshelf is a large region at the west end of the Hebra Mountains. It primarily covers the higher elevated area, just north of Lake Kilsie. As with most of the Hebra province, the temperature is bitterly cold, requiring Link to wear armor with Cold Resistance, such as the Snowquill Set, in order to survive.

On the plateau at the top of the snowshelf, there is a dangerous Guardian Stalker that will awaken when Link draws near. There are also Snow Octoroks and Cold-Footed Wolves in this area, making it even more dangerous for Link to battle the guardian.

At the northwest portion of the snowshelf, there is a snowy enemy skull camp with a number of Black Lizalfos and some Ice-Breath Lizalfos. After defeating them a treasure chest will appear in the base that contains ten Fire Arrows. Just south of the camp there are some breakable boulders by the cliff that have a treasure chest that contains a Ruby gem. Just east of the skull base, on a significantly higher plateau, there is a very dangerous enemy camp, with a ton of Black Moblin and a Black Lizaflos. When defeated, Link can open the treasure chest to get a Knight's Shield.

There are a few more treasure chests in the area; one just southwest of where the Guardian is located, on a slightly lower elevation. The chest here contains five Ice Arrows. Another is found east of the guardian, at a much lower elevation. It is found next to three trees, where some Black Moblin and a Black Lizalfos are. The chest is stuck in the snow and contains a Sapphire gem.

Mozo Shenno Shrine

Main article: Mozo Shenno Shrine

The Mozo Shenno Shrine is located underneath the plateau at the top of the Biron Snowshelf. Directly east of the snowshelf, there is a mountain peak at the Hebra Tundra. From there, if Link travels westward, he will spot the shrine, through a cave that is in the side of the cliff. The shrine its is A Major Test of Strength shrine. Throughout the shrine there are some metallic blocks that Link can bring up with Magnesis, to avoid the spin attacks from the Guardian Scout IV.

Once the scout is defeated, it will drop its Ancient Battle Axe++, Guardian Sword++, and Guardian Spear++. The treasure chest in the shrine contains a Diamond. Run over to Mozo Shenmo at the altar to get the Spirit Orb.

Tears of the Kingdom

The Biron Snowshelf is a wide spanning area found in the center of the Hebra Mountains. It is very cold, requiring Link to have multiple levels of Cold Resistance in order to survive. Early on in the quest, the Blizzard affecting Rito Village is causing perpetual snow in the region.

A very dangerous Frost Gleeok can be found flying around in the area at the south end of the Snowshelf.

At the far northwest end of the snowshelf, there is a chest with three Carts. Northwest of where the Frost Gleeok is, a bit down the cliff there are some ice blocks. One of them has a chest inside which contains a Large Zonaite.

East Biron Snowshelf Cave

Main article: East Biron Snowshelf Cave

The East Biron Snowshelf Cave can be found directly beneath the Biron Snowshelf. From the Hebra Tundra to the east, the snow slows declines in elevation as it heads west. The caves entrance can be found very low down below, east of where the Frost Gleeok can be found. The entrance and exit are both blocked off by Red Sediment. After clearing the Wind Temple, Link can find Selmie inside the cave as part of The Duchess Who Disappeared quest. Breaking the sediment and speaking to her will progress the quest and Selmie will return to Selmie's Spot.

Korok Seeds

  • At the far western end of the Hebra Tundra, down the slope, there is a Korok trying to reunite with his friend. Carry him over to the northwest end of the Biron Snowshelf to reunite them and get a pair of Korok Seeds.
  • At the far northwestern end of the snowshelf, on a higher cliffside, there are three statues. There are some Boards near by that Link can use to create a roof. Do so to get the Korok Seed.
  • At the northwest part of the snowshelf, there is a cliff overhanging the lower area. Climb up on top and pick up the rock to get the Korok Seed.
  • At the north end of the area, as the snow elevates up towards the Hebra Tundra, there is an overhang with a stump in the ceiling. Ascend through the stump to get the Korok Seed.
  • On the higher cliffside at the north side of the snowshelf, there is a series of trees with one of them being barren. Collect the yellow flowers as they head east towards the Zonai Ruins to get the Korok Seed.
  • Northwest of where the Frost Gleeok is, there is a block puzzle on one of the higher areas. Put the piece in its proper slot to get the Korok Seed.
