Multiplayer game modes are any form of game which involves more than one player. The antonym is Single Player.

Only three games in the main The Legend of Zelda series are multiplayer-centric - Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures (including Navi Trackers in the Japanese version) and Tri Force Heroes; although The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest, a mode in Nintendo Land, is also multiplayer-focused.

In addition, several games for the Nintendo DS and 3DS have limited multiplayer modes.

In Battle Quest, when playing in multiplayer modes, one player is an archer and the rest are swordsmen.
