Uses

Big Fairies are a type of fairy from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. They are similar to normal fairies; but refill Link's Magic Meter as well as Heart Containers and cannot be placed in a bottle.

Ocarina of Time

In Ocarina of Time, Big Fairies are large, pink, wingless fairies. Touching them recovers eight hearts and fully refills the Magic Meter. They are most easily found by playing the Song of Storms to Gossip Stones, but can occasionally be found by playing the Sun's Song or Song of Storms in certain places where Navi turns green for no obvious reason, and where the Scarecrow's Song and Song of Time do nothing.

In Ocarina of Time 3D, they became yellow to better distinguish them from normal fairies, but are otherwise unchanged.

Majora's Mask

Big Fairies can only be found by playing the Song of Storms at Gossip Stones.

In Majora's Mask (N64), they now have wings, which are the same size as normal fairies' and so are dwarfed by their larger bodies, and are still pink. They refill eighteen Heart Containers and fully fill the Magic Meter.

In Majora's Mask 3D, they appear yellow and wingless as they did in Ocarina of Time 3D. They still fully refill the Magic Meter, but only recover ten hearts rather than eighteen.
