The Great Swords are Ganondorf's initial weapons in Hyrule Warriors. Ganondorf starts with Swords of Despair when he is unlocked - in the Wii U version, after completing the Shining Beacon scenario in Valley of Seers in Legend Mode.

• Base attack: 80
• Per star: 8

Swords of Darkness

Unlocked in Adventure Mode by completing the challenge at grid C15^? with an "A" rank after revealing its secret by using an Ice Arrow on the ring of fire.

• Base Attack: 150
• Per star: 15

Swords of Demise

Unlocked in Adventure Mode by completing the challenge at grid G8^? with an "A" rank after revealing its secret by using Digging Mitts on the patch of soft soil and revealing the hidden enemies by using the Goddess's Harp on the Goddess Butterflies.

Swords of Renewal (Legends/Def.Ed.)

Unlocked on the Lorule Map in Adventure Mode by completing the challenge at grid H8^? with an "A" rank after revealing its secret by using the Bombs on the cracked wall.
