The Guard Notebook is the third item in the Trading Sequence in Phantom Hourglass that leads Link to recieve the Swordsman's Scroll. The Scroll allows Link to perform the Great Spin Attack. The Guard Notebook is later being traded to a traveler for the Wood Heart.
