Arm-Mimic: Difference between revisions

The '''Arm-Mimics''' may be a confusing enemy at first, as they don't move on their own. They will instead mirror your movements in opposite directions. If you move up, they will move down. If you move left, they will move right. A simple sword slash will do nothing but push this enemy back. Spin attacks will kill an Arm-Mimic, but most people simply dash through them with their [[Sword]] and [[Pegasus Boots]] equipped. If you don't yet have the Pegasus Boots, It is best to either back towards them and do a Spin Attack or jump over them. They behave in the same way as [[Mask-Mimic]], but without the mask. It looks odd, like a potato-person.

Arm-Mimics are found only within [[Dream Shrine]] and [[Turtle Rock (Link's Awakening)|Turtle Rock]]. They are also can be found in a cave where Link obtains the [[Magnifying Lens]]. However, Arm-Mimic's found in this cave are invisible, it can only be seen after Link obtains the Magnifying Lens. Using the Spin Attack or Dash Attack makes it easier to defeat these enemies. Whatever method you choose, it is important to be cautious when you're near them since they deal so much damage (three full hearts).  

The Arm-Mimics look and act exactly the same as in ''Link's Awakening''. The differences is they can withstand more damage, they cause only one heart damage, and you can use a normal sword attack against them. They are found in various dungeons.  

To get rid of these pesky creatures, either back them into a wall, or move carefully so that they will slowly move towards you. Slash away a few times with your sword to get rid of them.
