Eldin Spring: Difference between revisions

The '''Eldin Spring''' is a location that appears in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess|Twilight Princess]]''. It is the home of the [[Light Spirit]] known as [[Eldin (Light Spirit)|Eldin]]. The spring itself is located near the entrance to [[Kakariko Village (Twilight Princess)|Kakariko Village]]. As Link enters the village, the spring is located to the left ([[Nintendo Wii|Wii]]). It's one of four springs found within the game, each being significant to the main plot.

==Story==

This is the second spring that [[Link (Twilight Princess)|Link]] encounters within the events of ''Twilight Princess''. Similar to the [[Faron Spring]], Link, in [[Wolf Link|Wolf]] form, once again meets the Light Spirit of this area, Eldin.{{Ref|TP|4328|Eldin}} He is then tasked with collecting the sixteen [[Tears of Light]] located around [[Eldin Province|province]].{{Ref|TP|4329-4331|Eldin}} To achieve this, Eldin hands Link the [[Vessel of Light]] and marks the location of each [[Shadow Insect]] on his map.{{Ref|TP|4332-4333|Eldin}} After collecting all the Tears and completing the Vessel of Light, Link is then automatically teleported to Eldin Spring. Now he can return to his normal form and the light is once again restored to the province. Link is then told that he must clear the evil that lurks within the [[Goron Mines]], the hero's next quest at hand.{{Ref|TP|1374-1377|Eldin}}

==Heart Pieces==

There are two [[Piece of Heart|Heart Pieces]] located in the immediate area around the Eldin Spring. The first is situated up high on a cliff to the east ([[Nintendo Wii|Wii]]) side. Link must equip his [[Bomb Arrow]]s and shoot the large boulder, this reveals a [[Piece of Heart]], which the hero can obtain with the [[Gale Boomerang]]. The second is located at the back of the spring and can be accessed by blowing up a large boulder. Link can follow this path and reach a narrow, but deep, pool of water. The young hero can then equip the [[Iron Boots]] to sink to the bottom of the water. At the bottom there lies a [[Treasure Chest]], and inside Link can obtain another Piece of Heart

*After [[Link (Twilight Princess)|Link]] has reached the 30th floor within the [[Cave of Ordeals]], the [[Great Fairy]] rewards the young hero for his efforts by releasing [[Fairy|Fairies]] into Eldin Spring.  

*If [[Link (Twilight Princess)|Link]] completes the [[Cave of Ordeals]], the [[Great Fairy]] releases [[Great Fairy's Tears]] into Eldin Spring. Link can keep these Tears within his [[Bottle]] for later use.
