A Moth is an enemy that has appeared in three The Legend of Zelda games to date: Majora's Mask, Oracle of Ages, and Oracle of Seasons.
Appearances
Majora's Mask
In Majora's Mask, Moths appear in the boss battle against Odolwa and near flames throughout Woodfall. They are attracted to fire, including the fuse of Link's Bombs, and will usually ignore Link if he stays away from them. If Link lights a Deku Stick, however, they follow him and deal damage. When summoned by Odolwa, they seek out Link and attack, regardless of whether or not he has a Deku Stick lit or not.
Oracle of Ages
In Oracle of Ages, Moths are enemies summoned by the boss Shadow Hag. They attack by slowly flying around the room and coming into contact with Link. They do only 1/4 hearts of damage and are relatively weak enemies that can be felled with a single blow from Link's sword.
Oracle of Seasons
In Oracle of Seasons, Moths are enemies summoned by the boss Mothula. They attack by rapidly flying around the room and coming into contact with Link. They do only 1/4 hearts of damage and are relatively weak enemies that can be felled with a single blow from Link's sword.
Trivia
- In Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, Moths have similar abilities, but their appearance differs in order to resemble the bosses that summon them in their respective games.
