Overview

After Lord Jabu-Jabu runs through River Zora Village, when Zelda returns, he'll find a scared River Zora child by the name of Medaka. The Zora here can't swim and seems to be afraid that his mother is going to feed him to the monsters. He asks Zelda to check on his mother, beginning the quest.

Walkthrough

  • After Jabu-Jabu storms through the village, a frightend young River Zora can be found next to a destroyed house. Speak to him to begin the quest.
  • Enter the nearby hut and speak to his mother. She wants Zelda to drop a sinister fish into the pond. Use a Tangler Echo to drop a Tangler in the water.
  • Now she asks Zelda to find an enemy that goes boomb. Use a Bombfish Echo to drop a Bombfish into the pond.
  • Next she wants an enemy that is a shocking jellyfish monster. Use the Biri Echo to drop a Biri into the pond.
  • Zelda and Medaka's mother will head outside to confront Medaka. The research that Medaka was doing allowed her to create a Zora Scale. After giving the scale to Medaka, the young River Zora begins to swim.
  • Medaka's mother will then give Zelda a Zora Scale as well for helping her out. When Zelda wears the accessory, it will have a Dive Time Up effect, allowing Zelda to hold her breath longer while underwater.
