The Southern Mine is an active mine found in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Breath of the Wild
Run by the Goron Group Mining Company under Dorill, the Southern Mine is located south of Goron City, in Eldin Canyon, along the path toward Death Mountain. "Death Mountain Marker #3" is located in it.
The Gorons spend their days mining for ore, and various Ore Deposits can be found there. The east and west sides of the small lava river have Rare Ore Deposits, though they may be infested with Fire Chuchus and Fire Keese, and the mine itself is rich in Fireproof Lizards.
The Southern Mine (alongside the Kara Kara Bazaar in the Gerudo Province) is one of the few settlements in Hyrule that does not have a Shrine of Trials close by.
Greyson and Pelison can be found here, as part of the From the Ground Up side quest.
Following the road to the northwest, there is an enemy encampment with Fire Lizalfos and Black Moblins.

The Southern Mine is located south of Goron City, in Eldin Canyon, along the path toward Death Mountain.
Bohrin can be found here, complaining that all Jengo is doing is eating the marbled rock roast, rather than concentrating on his tasks. Bohrin than explains that President Yunobo wanted to create a Mine-Cart Land here, but the workers have become too lazy to build it.
Kanny will walk through the area, on their way to Goron City.
