A recovered memory reveals parts of the game story about what happened a 100 years ago

How to Unlock

With a total of 18 Memories, reference to the locations of the Breath of the Wild Interactive Map, there are three types of memories you can recover, a location based memory that is related to the main quest "Captured Memories", of which you will see a yellow shiny glow that you will interact with, the second is Divine Beast Champions Memories, which it will be revealed if went through the main quests for the Divine Beasts (some can be missed if you only relay on a quick guide), the 3rd is the Master Sword Memory, unlocked after obtaining the Master Sword.

Guide to Some Memories

Recovered Memory #2 - Revali's Flap

To unlock this memory, talk to the Elder of the Rito, he will tell you to find Teba so he can assist you in taking down the Divine Beast, after that go talk to Saki, Teba's wife, she will tell you where Teba is, and it will trigger the memory

Recovered Memory #10 - Mipha's Touch

This memory will be unlocked after defeating the Divine Beast Vah Ruta, looking at a statue of Mipha.

Recovered Memory #17 - Zelda's Awakening (Picture 13)

This memory location will only be unlocked after visiting all 12 locations in the Sheikah Slate; see the referenced map for all locations.

Recovered Memory #18 - The Master Sword

This memory is unlocked after obtaining the Master Sword from the Great Hyrule Forest. The Master Sword is obtainable via having at least 13 heart containers.
