Seismic Talus is the boss of the Suthorn Ruins in Echoes of Wisdom.
Echoes of Wisdom
The Seismic Talus is a giant rock-like enemy that moves around the room and tries to pound Zelda with its massive hands. One of its rocks glows purple and serves as a weak spot that Zelda can exploit.
Strategy
Phase 1
The Talus's weak spot is a glowing purple rock, located in the first phase at the ground-level of its body. Zelda can attack by using an Echo enemy, such as the Peahat Echo or Darknut Echo. Zelda can also use Bind to pull the rock out from the boss and damage it. Zelda is alternatively able to switch into the Swordfighter Form and use the Mysterious Sword to deal damage on the boss. After a few hits, the boss's body will disappear, leaving only the purple ball that can be rapidly attacked until the rock body re-appears.
Phase 2
In the second phase, the orb will now be located on one of the boss's shoulders. Ground-based enemies, and Zelda's swordfighter form, can no longer be used to initially attack. Other methods such as using Bind or a flying enemy echo are still useful in attacking. After a few more hits, the boss will move to a third phase.
Phase 3
In the third and final phase, the glowing rock will move to the center of the boss's head. Zelda can use bind to pull the orb that is attached its head. The orb can also be attacked directly after the boss uses a slam attack, which will momentarily leave its head near the ground. When enough damage has been dealt the Seismic Talus will be defeated, leaving behind a Heart Container, and releasing Tri's friends to repair the Rift.
