Automaton Engineer Dampé is a Side Quest in Echoes of Wisdom.
Overview
Just north of Hyrule Ranch, Zelda will find Dampé talking to a Crow that is on top of a tree. The Crow stole a key from Dampé and it's very important to him. Dampé quickly gets angered by the Crow for not returning the key. Completing the quest will give Zelda her first Automaton, the Techtite.
Requirements
- Reach Hyrule Ranch.
Walkthrough
- Walk over to Dampé, just north of Hyrule Ranch.
- Use an Echo, such as a Crow Echo to hit the Crow that is on top of the tree to get back the key.
- Speak with Dampé and he'll thank you. He'll mark the location of his house on your map and tells Zelda to come visit him to get a reward.
- Warp over to Eastern Hyrule Field, located just east of Echoes of Wisdom and west of Jabul Waters. Enter Dampé's house.
- Dampé will award Zelda with five Twisted Pumpkins.
- Dampé will then task Zelda with finding a creature with the big eye—the sort that's always jumping around. He also needs something that'll help him blasting the automaton upward. Something that shoots hot smoke out of its backside to blast forward.
- Use the Tektite Echo to drop a Tektite on the pedestal.
- Use the Mothula Echo to drop a Mothula on the pedestal.
- Dampé will award Zelda with a Techtite Automaton. Dampé will also give Zelda the Clockwork Key, which is used to wind up an Automaton.
