Mezer is a character found in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Breath of the Wild
Mezer can be found patrolling the road, just south of the Squabble River, just beneath the Dueling Peaks. He walks back and forth along the road, crossing the Big Twin Bridge that heads to the Dueling Peaks Stable. To the west he will stop at a rest stop near a pot, right across the river from the Dueling Peaks Tower. To the east he will travel all the way to the Dueling Peaks Stable, where he will sit to take a break. If Link speaks to him while he is near or at the stable, he will give Link directions to the stable, as well as to Kakariko Village.[1][2]
Mezer is a wandering merchant who primarily deals with selling meat.[3][4] Mezer will sell a variety of meat, including Raw Prime Meat and Raw Bird Thigh.[5] He will also try to sell Link on the benefits of Rock Salt.[6]
He can be seen wielding a Traveler's Sword and an Emblazoned Shield which he can use to defend himself against enemies. If Stalkoblin are near Mezer, he will pull out his sword and shield, ready for battle. He will taunt the monsters, trying to get them to run away.[7] If Link successfully drives the Stalkoblin away, Mezer will thank Link, giving him a meal for his troubles.[8]
While it is raining outside, Mezer will run through the room to take cover, usually in a dry area underneath the Dueling Peaks. While it is raining, Mezer will have slightly different items and quantities for sale, including some Raw Gourmet Meat.[9][10]

Tears of the Kingdom
In Tears of the Kingdom, Mezer can be found at the Bedrock Bistro. He wasted a Marbled Rock Roast and owes one to Cooke. Mezer is instead trying to give Cooke a rare Large Zonai Charge in its place, but Cooke will not accept it.[11] Cooke is insisting that Mezer bring him a fresh marbled rock roast and doesn't care for the Zonai charge that Mezer has.[12]
Mezer claims that he checked the nearby caves, but it is far too dangerous for a Hylian like him to try to get some marbled rock roast from there.[13] Cooke doesn't seem to care about the hardship it causes, insisting that Mezer brings him back some roast.[14].
Mezer wonders why Cooke is being so uptight as he knows what he has is worth way more than the roast, but Cooke won't budge on his offer.[15] If Link tries to take Large Zonai Charge, Mezer will jump in and prevent him from taking it.[16]
Meat for Meat
- Main article: Meat for Meat
Speak with Mezer and Cooke to begin the Meat for Meat quest.
After Link travels to the East Restaurant Cave, he can find some Marbled Rock Roast and use a Mine Cart and Fan on the tracks to bring it back to the Bedrock Bistro.[17] Mezer jumps in and asks to trade his Large Zonai Charge for the roast.[18] After doing so, he and Cooke are squared away.[19][20]
After making the deal with Cooke, Mezer will give the Large Zonai Charge to Link.[21] Mezer explains that as a meat man, he heard the rumors of a roast to die for and had to check it out, only to find it wasn't meat at all, but rather, just rocks. Before Link leaves, Mezer mentions a rumored beast and wants to find out if its edible. He says he's going to hit the stables to ask around for leads and encourages Link to say high if he sees him around.[22] Mezer will then take off, which will complete the Meat for Meat quest.
