Storing Hyrule Compendium data

In Tears of the Kingdom, the Compendium Database is a device created by Robbie to store his Hyrule Compendium pictures, modelled after his Ancient Oven from Breath of the Wild.

A robot that exactly resembled a downsized Cherry now appears in the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab, where Robbie works on the Purah Pad. Rather than creating Ancient weapons, it stores Robbie's complete set of Hyrule Compendium data; consequently, Robbie describes it as the "compendium database". The original Cherry is unaccounted for, as it isn't clear if this miniature replica began life as Cherry or not.

For a payment to Robbie, Link can download Compendium pictures from it onto his Purah Pad and use them in conjunction with Sensor + to track creatures, materials, monsters, equipment and treasure; just as he could buy pictures from Symin in Breath of the Wild.

Trivia

  • The idea of Robbie having a miniature replica of the Ancient Oven was first revealed in Creating a Champion.[1]
