"The hood of a traveling merchant who had a bracelet that could turn the wearer into a painting. Wearing it increases your sideways climbing speed. It's a rather rare find."
Ravio's Hood is a piece of armor found in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Breath of the Wild
The Ravio's Hood has a base defense of 2 and was released as a part of the second DLC expansion for the Breath of the Wild. It is directly inspired from Ravio, who first appeared in A Link Between Worlds.
The Hood enhances Link's sideways and diagonal climbing speed by a considerable rate, making it the best armor in terms of climbing speed.
It also contains the hidden ability of increasing the sword beam damage from the Master Sword.
Location
- Main article: EX Treasure: Merchant Hood
Ravio's Hood is part of the EX Treasure: Merchant Hood Side Quest, unlocked with The Champions' Ballad DLC. Link can travel to the Deya Village Ruins and read Misko's EX Journal 2 to find the location of Ravio's Hood.
This piece of armor can be found near the Spring of Courage, underneath the right hand of the stone dragon. The chest will be buried under its claws and Link will need to use Magnesis to pry it from its grasp. Be sure to check our Breath of the Wild Interactive Map for a more precise location.
After Link has obtained this item for the first time, he will be able to purchase it from Granté in Tarrey Town for 50 Rupees.

Found in the Secluded Coliseum (NE of Bubinga Grove, at (2226, -1913, -0468)), Link must first defeat several waves of Gloom-wreathed Lizalfos, including elemental variants, to obtain Ravio's Hood. Its mechanics are the same as in the previous game.
