"These spell-casting monsters can be found all over Hyrule. They use their blizzard rods to create freezing blasts of air or to summon frozen monsters and have been known to cause blizzards to severely decrease the temperature around them. The weather will normalize once the Blizzrobe is defeated."
A Blizzrobe is an enemy in Breath of the Wild and Age of Calamity.
Breath of the Wild
Blizzrobes prance about in select locations in Hyrule, usually within frigid climates, and will only attack if Link approaches. They will initially taunt Link and cast icy spells at him using their Blizzard Rods. Blizzrobes will also disappear for a bit, leaving only their shadows and the ripples from their footsteps visible. Blizzrobes may spawn Ice Keese and Ice Chuchus to aid them in battle.
Eventually, the Blizzrobe will begin to glow a fluorescent blue and dance around, making it difficult for Link to take aim at it. It will then cast a strong ice spell into the sky, which will cause the temperature to decrease to a level requiring low-level Cold Resistance. This will also create eternal snowfall with chunks of ice that will freeze Link on contact. If Link is hit by a burst of freezing air from the Blizzrobe's weapon, he will be frozen and unable to move for a short amount of time, unless he has the Unfreezable bonus from Zant's Helmet or an upgraded Snowquill Set. Once Link has defeated the Blizzrobe, or has moved far from its spawn point, any alterations to the weather will be resolved.
Any fire weapon, such as a Flameblade or Fire Arrow, will kill a Blizzrobe instantly on contact. Upon death they will drop the Blizzard Rod they carry, but nothing else.
