The King of Hyrule first appeared in The Adventure of Link and also appeared in A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, and The Minish Cap. Not much is known of him besides him being King.

In The Wind Waker the King took on a new form as the King of Red Lions, who was Link's companion as his talking boat.
