Below is listing of terms common to the The Legend of Zelda series. This includes terms that are unique to only the Legend of Zelda series, as well as other common terms that are recorring throughout the series.

B

  • Baba - a term used to denote plant-like enemies or objects that have bulb-features, and usually have tongues. This includes enemies such as Deku Baba or Boko Baba, as well as objects such as Boko Bulb, and bosses including Diababa.
  • Blin - a common suffix use to donate many enemies that have goblin like features, including Moblin, Bokoblin, Miniblin, and Bulblins.
  • Boko - a common prefix use to donate wood based objects, weapons, and enemies. It was first used in The Wind Waker to describe enemies and objects such as Boko Babas, Boko Sticks, and enemy Bokoblin, but has since been more abundantly used in later games, including Breath of the Wild.

  • Mol - a common affix used to denote many enemies and items that have the ability to dig and burrow underground, including Lanmola, Molgera, Moldarach, and Molduga.
  • Mos - a common suffix used to denote enemies who are stone statues or machines that come to life. This includes Armos and Beamos.
