"Go around, go around, go around..."

— Guru-Guru

Guru-Guru is a character found in Majora's Mask and Oracle of Seasons. He is often seen to be playing a rather large instrument and is well known for his phrase, "go around, and around". His counterpart in Ocarina of Time is referred to as the Phonogram Man.

Appearances

Ocarina of Time

Main article: Phonogram Man

In Ocarina of Time, a very similar character to Guru-Guru can be found inside the Windmill in Kakariko Village. He will teach Link the Song of Storms.

Majora's Mask

In Majora's Mask, Guru-Guru is a member of the Gorman Troupe, a band of performers set to perform at the Carnival of Time. He is a middle-aged man with brown hair and a blue shirt and a giant Organ Grinder contraption sitting in his lap. He came to Clock Town along with the Gorman Troupe, but spends his time alone. Generally cheerful, he plays his organ music & smiles a lot; but is prone to fits of anger, and can become very upset over certain things. While he plays the Song of Storms, he does not teach it to Link.

During the day, he practices his instrument in the Troupe's room in the Stock Pot Inn until dusk.

On the nights of the first and second days, he can be found in the Laundry Pool in south-west Clock Town. There, e tells Link a rather long and personal story about an Animal Troupe that he belonged to. According to him, the reason that he could join was 'Because a human is an animal too, my boy!' In the troupe, Guru-Guru became very jealous of the leader, a dog. He felt that since humans were the smartest animal, he should be the leader. After a while, Guru-Guru stole his mask, the Troupe Leader's symbol of office.

Guru-Guru's tale ends as a confession of his crime, the theft of the Bremen Mask from the dog leader. In thanks for letting him clear his conscience, Guru-Guru rewards Link with the Bremen Mask.

The gift of this mask is the only event Guru-Guru has for his entry in the Bombers' Notebook, and the event can be completed any time.

Oracle of Seasons

In Oracle of Seasons Guru-Guru is found next to the Windmill. He gives Link the Phonograph as a part of the Trading Sequence.
