The Jabul Waters Walkthrough is a full guide for the Jabul Waters region of the game, including all main quests that lead up to the entrance of the Jabul Ruins. After completing the Suthorn Ruins, Zelda has the option of traveling to either the Jabul Waters or Gerudo Desert regions and can complete the dungeons in those respective areas in either order.

Reach Seesyde Village

  • After leaving Suthorn Forest, Zelda can travel north to the Suthorn Prairie, and further north to Hyrule Field. The world is fully open to Zelda at this point, but the destination is Jabul Waters, found at the northeast part of the map.
  • Zelda can trael northeast along the various paths with the entrance to the Jabul Waters being almost directly east of Hyrule Castle in the center of the map.
  • Upon reaching the area, Zelda will find herself at Seesyde Village. Upon entering the area, this will begin The Jabul Waters Rift main quest. Zelda will quickly learn that Lord Jabu-Jabu has been on a rampage after since a Rift appeared at his Den.

Meet the two Zora Chiefs

  • From Seesyde Village, Zelda can head north and east to find some water. Zelda wants to traverse north and can do so by heading directly north of Seesyde Village and using Echoes to navigate the area. Zelda can make her way to the massive rift on her map to reach Lord Jabu-Jabu's Den.
  • Here Zelda will fine some River Zora who mention that the only way to open the door is for the chiefs of the River Clan and Sea Clan to play music together.
  • Zelda can travel west and north to reach River Zora Village. At the hut at the far northwest part of the village, Zelda will find the River Zora Chief, Dradd. However, before Zelda can make a request, the chief leaves, heading towards the Crossflows Plaza to try to calm Lord Jabu-Jabu.
  • The Crossflows Plaza can be found directly east of Seesyde Village. If Zelda travels there now, she'll find Dradd, but he still won't listen to Zelda. He just complains about the See Zora, Kushara.
  • From Crossflows Plaza, Zelda can travel directly south to reach the Zora Cove. Within the water, Zelda will come across Sea Zora Village. Zelda should dive underwater and enter the village.
  • Inside the chiefs chamber, Zelda will find the Sea Zora Chief, Kushara. Much like Dradd, she wants to sing to Lord Jabu-Jabu and will leave to the Crossflows Plaza, without hearing Zelda out.
  • Zelda can then return to Crossflows Plaza to find both chiefs arguing with one another. They will try to play music, but they won't play in unison, making it hard to listen to.
  • Lord Jabu-Jabu will appear and is still angry. He will swallow up Inawa and Rogma, both of the chief's assistants. Lord Jabu-Jabu will then storm off heading north towards River Zora Village.

Chaos at River Zora Village

  • Zelda can warp back to River Zora Village and find that some of the village has been destroyed by the rampage of Lord Jabu-Jabu.
  • Zelda can reach the rift to the northeast by walking behind the destroyed hut within the village. Here Zelda can access the Stilled Upper Zora River.
  • There are five of Tri's Friends that Zelda has to locate. From the starting area, Zelda can head southeast and she'll see the Purple floating ball on the right. She can jump into the water and drop down to find the first of Tri's friends.
  • From here Zelda can travel northeast to find a cave. Inside, Zelda can grab the Bombfish that is floating with Bind, and push it into the cracked boulders below. This will destroy the opening, allowing Zelda to pass. Zelda should also learn the Bombfish Echo here.
  • Zelda can then swim to the bottom of the area and find another cracked block. Use a Bombfish to break the block and get the second of Tri's friends.
  • At the top-left of this cave, Zelda will find a Dark Tektite. Use an Echo to defeat the tektite to get another of Tri's friends.
  • Back outside, Zelda can backtrack back to the entrance where she first entered the Stilled Upper Zora River. From here she can travel west and hop across the water to find another of Tri's friends.
  • From the entrance, Zelda can travel northeast and climb up through the floating water. At the top of this area, Zelda will find the stilled version of Dradd, along with the final of Tri's friends.
  • After collecting all of Tri's friends, Zelda will be awarded with 2 unusual crystals and will warp back to River Zora Village.
  • One of the River Zora is still stunned, but thanks to Kushara's music, the River Zora will return to normal. However, word will reach the area that Lord Jabu-Jabu is now in Zora Cove. This causes both chiefs to leave the area, heading down to Zora Cove.

Rampage in Zora Cove

  • Just outsside Sea Zora Village there is a Sea Zora who mentinos that Chief Kushara went to a small island to the east. As Zelda approches, she will here Dradd and this will begin the Rampage in Zora Cove
  • Zelda can travel east to find Dradd outside a cave that is blocked by crumbling rocks.
  • Zelda can jump into the water and swim into an under water entrance into the cave that Dradd is trying to get into.
  • This will take Zelda through a dark underwater area. The deeper Zelda swims, the darker it gets. While in the underwater, Zelda can swim through the blue coral, allowing her to see her surroundings briefly. Additionally, Zelda will get low on oxygen, but there are some oxygen bubbles throughout the underwater area, allowing Zelda to fill up her breath meter.
  • Along theh way, Zelda will find a chest that holds 10 pieces of Bubble Kelp.
  • After resurfacing, Zelda will find Kushara and a young Sea Zora. She comments about the giant boulder that is blocking the cave's entrance.
  • Zelda can use Bind on the large boulder and move it out of the way. The group is soon joined by Dradd and another Sea Zora. After Dradd plays his instrument, he will soothe the young Sea Zora.
  • Zelda is finally able to tell Dradd and Kushara what she's been trying to say. The two will agree to meet her back at Lord Jabu-Jabu's Den.

Lord Jabu-Jabu

  • Zelda can warp over and return to Lord Jabu-Jabu's Den, found just southeast of River Zora Village.
  • Once Zelda arrives, the two chiefs are there, but there is debris on the pedestals, and one of them is also now cracked.
  • Use Bind to remove the blue rocks on the pedestals.
  • Zelda will ened to put the left pedestal back together. She can do so by grabbing the small rock to the left, and the larger rock that is at the bottom of the water on the left. Zelda will need to first swim down below and then use bind to pull it up.
  • After reassembling the pedestals, the two chiefs will stand on the pedestals and play their music in harmony. This will cause the door to Lord Jabu-Jabu to finally open.
  • Lord Jabu-Jabu is still not the same and Zelda and the group realizes it is a Lord Jabu-Jabu Imposter.
  • After Zelda jumps into the water, this begins a boss battle. When Jabu-Jabu is sucking in water, Zelda will need to use the Bombfish Echo to drop a Bombfish. Jabu-Jabu will gobble it up and once it explodes in the fish's mouth, Jabu-Jabu will be stunned. Zelda can then send water-based echoes at Jabu-Jabu. It's best to use the Swordfighter Form to deal quick damage on the boss.
  • When Jabu-Jabu is exhaling or swimming around, Zelda should just try to avoid the fish. Repeat the Bombfish strategy until Jabu-Jabu has been defeated.
  • After saving the two Zora, Tri will create a portal, leading down into the Stilled Jabul Waters.

Stilled Jabul Waters

  • Zelda can navigated the world to the northwest, jumping into the floating body of water. She'll need to use echoes, such as an Old Bed Echo to fully scale the area.
  • As Zelda travels easy, she'll encounter some Dark Tanglers in the water which can be avoided. She'll see a water block and Zelda can learn the Water Block Echo from it. This allows Zelda to place water blocks when they connect to the ground or other water. She can then jump into the water blocks to navigate across small gaps.
