"Legend says these trousers were worn by a hero who explored a mysterious island that one could visit but not leave. The item makes one want to wear it but also not wear it."
The Trousers of Awakening are a findable legacy Zelda item in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom
The Trousers of Awakening have a base defense of 3, and can be obtained by scanning the Link (Link's Awakening) amiibo, through the use of the amiibo Rune. Scanning the amiibo will drop various items from the sky, along with a treasure chest, which has a chance of containing the Trousers of Awakening, but can also contain different items. The amiibo can only be scanned once per day.
The Trousers of Awakening can also be obtained from the Coliseum Ruins Cave in the Coliseum Ruins in Hyrule Field, which can be accessed when Link solves a riddle involving moving a nearby Soldier's Claymore with Ultrahand into the hands of a statue next the entrance which is holding no weapon (a nearby statue is already holding a claymore for reference). The room containing the chest with the trousers also contains multiple statues holding multiple Soldier's Claymores. Due to a Thunder Gleeok inhabiting the ruins, it will likely have to be defeated before this can be accessed safely.
Armor Set
The Hero of Awakening Set, which is new to Tears of the Kingdom (also including Tunic of Awakening and Mask of Awakening) offers the Attack Up bonus.
